– An intended seventh and final inshore race was started but unable to finish today in the last day of theORCi European Championshiphosted
by theRoyal Norwegian YC (KNS),so results from the finish late last night of the shortened short offshore race stand, and
the new European champions are confirmed.

Gertrud And Chinook winning the short offshore
13.08.11Wind strength 4-6 kn and bright sunshine in the Oslofjord when Gertrud and Chinook wins the short offshore . The race comitee shortened the race at Hollanderboen after 44 nm. The water looked like oil when the RC boat went out to shorten but soon after the prospected wind of 13 kn SE fill in and pushed all the boats to finish tonight. Results from short offshore and standing posted.

26 entries a pleasant start to their 123-mile long offshore race in theORCi European Championship. The breeze direction and
strength has produced close reaching conditions on the first leg of the race, rewarding teams equipped with asymmetric spinnakers
and Code 0’s. Accordingly, the Mills-designed Landmark 43Destinbeing driven byTore Kandahltook the early lead in Division
1, whileMartin Nilsson’sSalona 37Feelgoodhas jumped ahead of the pack in Division 2.
