The Royal Norwegian Yacht Club (KNS) welcomes you to Grundig Hankø Race Week
In these challenging times we are more than happy to announce that it seems possible to carry out Grundig Hankø Race Week 2021 – without the social part! Classes open for registration: https://bit.ly/2S25BLv
We are following the Covid-19 regulations closely and a final decision will be made June 11. But please sign up (without payment) as soon as possible and follow our Facebook page for more information.
If we are not allowed to sail with a full crew this weekend we will arrange an alternative event in Oslo June 3-4: A doublehanded regatta for invited classes only (Knarr, Soling, J/70, Express,11mod) But for now: fingers crossed that we will be back at Hankø!
Hankø Race Week was established in 1882 and has over 139 years developed as the greatest one design event in Norway. In cooperation with Fredrikstad Seilforening, Hankø Yacht Club and GRUNDIG, we are constantly striving to further develop this historic event. We look forward to seeing you at Hankø for some spectacular racing.
Hankø has been the main venue for international regattas in Norway for the last hundred years. The sailing will take place just off the island in open waters, where the wind and sea conditions are quite predictable. When the sea breeze fills in from south this is for sure one of the best race courses in Norway, some says in the world.
