𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝

3 – KDY – Royal Danish Yacht Club – Anne Sofie Munk-Hansen, Jeff Beck, Mads Degnegaard, and Christian Kamp.
The «5-club regatta» is an annual event for junior sailors, and it is hosted in rotation by KNS, Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet (KSSS), Göteborgs Kungliga Segelsällskap (GKSS), Kongelig Dansk Yacht Club (KDY), and Nyländska Jaktklubben (NJK) and the North American Station (NAS).
The Atlantic Round (TAR) is a friendship regatta between NJK, KSSS, KDY, GKSS, NAS, and KNS, with roots dating back to 1945. During this time, several members of KSSS recognized the value of uniting Swedish and American sailors to strengthen the bonds between the clubs. Over the years, KDY (Royal Danish Yacht Club), KNS (Royal Norwegian Yacht Club), NJK, and GKSS (Gothenburg Royal Sailing Society) have become members of NAS. The cooperation between the Nordic clubs and NAS has been very beneficial on several levels, and there have been numerous positive exchanges between the clubs. Among other things, NAS has supported an exchange program for juniors from the different clubs every year.
Next year, the regatta will be in Newport. Thank you to Hankø Yacht Club for having us, and our regattas for the last 2 weeks. It’s been a blast!
