Dear Kongelig Norsk Seilforening, dear Friends,
The Gstaad Yacht Club invites you to participate in the annual GYC Ski-Yachting event, Friday and Saturday, 8th and 9th March 2024.
Participating is easy: Each team enters a maximum of 4 participants for the ski race (two easy giant slalom runs where the consistency will count). Two team members are then appointed to sail in the remote controlled America’s Cup model boat match races. For further details, please study the attached rules.
The Races for the “Interclub” competition start promptly at 19h00 on Friday, 8th March up on the Eggli Mountain followed by dinner. Training sessions for sailing will start Saturday morning, 9thMarch at 11h30 at the Gstaad Swimming Pool. This gives the possibility for early risers to go skiing in the morning.
The prize-giving dinner will be in the GYC clubhouse at 20h00 on Saturday evening.
A Junior event is organized on the same weekend. All Juniors aged under 16 years of age, meet on Saturday morning for the Junior Ski Yachting Trophy. Please find further details in the separate invitation enclosed.
